Pregnancy Care

I’ll say it:

Being pregnant is not the most comfortable thing in the world.

Your body is going through A LOT of changes. Quickly. Maybe you don’t want to complain, but it doesn’t always feel great.

Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to manage the aches and pains associated with pregnancy.

Stay active and pain-free throughout your pregnancy to prepare your body for an easier birth and smooth recovery.

Treatment Methods

  • More commonly known as an “adjustment”.

Your chiropractor uses their hands to apply a controlled force to a specific joint, and guide it through a range of motion. This action restores your joint’s natural movement and improves its function.

When applied to your spine, this treatment is called spinal manipulation therapy (SMT). Manipulation can also be used on other joints such as your wrist, ankle, or foot.

  • Manual soft-tissue therapy aimed at releasing tension in your muscles and fascia.

Instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy is also offered.

  • Single-use, sterile needles are inserted into the skin at specific points to stimulate your nervous system. Studies have shown acupuncture to be effective for a variety of conditions.

  • A therapeutic taping method which can provide postural support, alleviate pain and tight muscles, and assist in lymphatic drainage.

  • Specific therapeutic exercise prescription targeted towards your specific condition and goals.

This may also include self-management tools and techniques.
